Elmgrove Road Marathon

Just a feel good news story in this lockdown time…

My wife and I, along with 25 other households on Elmgrove Road in Surrey ran one socially distant mile each (in line with the Government’s guidelines) to make up a marathon distance to raise money for the charity Children with Cancer UK.

As the official London Marathon was postponed, the idea came about after one of my neighbours, Matt told us of his plans to tackle the marathon in his small gardenOur neighbours discussed the idea and within days we had 26 keen households running one mile each around the block!

You may have seen us on the BBC and Sky Sports News and so far our road has raised over £6000 for charity!

To remember such a great day, I filmed and put together this video of what we got up to.
